This $1.2 billion hospital will deliver the best possible clinical care for future generations in Western Australia and will host the Integrated Research and Education Facilities, including the Telethon Kids Institute, to continue WA’s outstanding paediatric research.

In addition to providing tertiary-level health care and key secondary health care services, the hospital will also provide acute treatment and diagnostics. This facility houses MRIs, specialists’ theatres and imaging, an emergency department, burns, oncology, pharmacies, sterile services, mental health inpatient and outpatient care, as well as allied health services and ambulatory care. It has a Northern Winter Garden, a double-skin active facade, a hydrotherapy pool, an auditorium, an

atrium, a helipad, cinema and recreation facilities (indoor and outdoor), including the Starlight Foundation, as well as additional back-of-house support space.
